Payment & Cancellation Policy

Payment Information (Revised: November 10, 2023)

Please pay the tour fee by bank transfer in advance.
Payment must be completed no later than 7 days before your tour date.

If we are unable to confirm your payment by the due date, we may have to cancel your reservation.

If you make a reservation the day before your tour or there is not enough time to complete a bank transfer, cash payment on the day of the tour will be accepted.
Please prepare the exact amount whenever possible.

The following cancellation fees apply.

• 14 days or more before the tour: No cancellation fee.
• 7–13 days before the tour: 50% of the tour fee will be charged.
• 3–6 days before the tour: 70% of the tour fee will be charged.
• 2 days before the tour through the day of the tour: 100% of the tour fee will be charged.

Examples of Cancellations Subject to Cancellation Fees

Cases Where a Full Refund Will Be Issued

As an exception, the full tour fee will be refunded regardless of the cancellation timing in the following cases only.

1. Cancellation due to the cancellation or significant delay of public transportation such as flights.
2. The guide determines that the tour cannot be safely operated due to weather or environmental conditions.
3. The tour cannot be operated due to extraordinary circumstances affecting Hokkaido, such as terrorism, war, or civil unrest.
4. The guide cancels the tour due to unavoidable circumstances, such as illness or equipment failure.

Please note that any bank transfer fees for refunds are the responsibility of the guest.

Refund Policy if a Tour Is Cancelled Due to Sudden Bad Weather After the Tour Has Started (Added: November 17, 2025)

Tours take place in a natural environment, and weather conditions may change rapidly.

If lightning or other dangerous weather conditions occur, the guide may immediately suspend the tour and evacuate participants to a safe location.

If the tour is cancelled after it has started, refunds will be calculated according to the amount of time the tour has already operated.

• Tour cancelled within 2 hours after departure: 80% refund of the tour fee.
• Tour cancelled within 4 hours after departure: 50% refund of the tour fee.
• Tour cancelled within 6 hours after departure: 30% refund of the tour fee.
• Tour cancelled after more than 6 hours: No refund will be provided.

Please note that any bank transfer fees for refunds are the responsibility of the guest.

If the tour is temporarily suspended due to lightning or severe weather but later resumes and is completed as scheduled, no refund will be issued.

Tour Deposit Option

If your tour qualifies for a full refund due to severe weather or other eligible circumstances, you may choose to receive your refund as a tour deposit (credit) instead.

A tour deposit allows your paid tour fee to be applied toward a future tour rather than being refunded.

Example:

Your tour on June 10 was cancelled due to bad weather and qualified for a full refund.
Instead of receiving a refund, you choose the deposit option.
When you return for another tour on October 10, the deposited amount will be applied toward your new reservation.

If your tour cannot be operated due to severe weather or other qualifying conditions, you may choose either a full refund or the tour deposit option.

Cancellation Policy for Changes in Group Size (Added: September 25, 2025)

If the number of participants decreases after a reservation has been confirmed, a cancellation fee will apply only to the participants who cancel.

The remaining participants will be charged according to the regular tour price based on the final number of participants attending.

Example:

Two guests book a Drift Boat Fishing Tour (Total: ¥60,000).
One guest cancels 10 days before the tour (50% cancellation fee applies).

• Cancellation fee is calculated based on the cancelled guest's share of the original booking.
• ¥30,000 × 50% = ¥15,000 cancellation fee.
• The remaining guest joins the tour at the standard 1-person rate of ¥40,000.
• Total amount payable:
  ¥40,000 (tour fee for one participant)
  + ¥15,000 (cancellation fee)
  = ¥45,000

Please note that we do not simply charge half of the original two-person rate.
The cancellation fee applies only to the cancelled participant(s), while the remaining participant(s) will be charged the standard tour price based on the final number of participants.
